Hello everybody. How are things? I'm doing all right. Finished an assignment today, so that's good. (It was the mini shell project, which I believe I mentioned last time.) I just have to do a bunch of reading for tomorrow, but I don't really feel like getting into it tonight. My class is only at 3 pm tomorrow, so I have most of the day for reading and making notes. As long as I don't stay up too late tonight, it'll be fine. So for now, let's relax, watch a bit of TV and surf the net!

Hurricane Juan is supposed to arrive soon. Around midnight, we should be experiencing 100 km/h winds. I love storms. As long as the rain is finished before I have to leave tomorrow, it should be fun. It may be the highlight of the weekend. I went to the Colours party last night, and there was a pretty good turn out, but overall I found it a bit boring. Not sure why. Perhaps it's the whole "small town boy goes to big city and returns a changed person" thing. I sure hope not. But I guess my 8 months here and whatever city I do my masters degree in will give me a better idea of where I want to be in the long run. I think what I really need is something (read: a boy) to root me in one location. I feel alone a lot of the time, no matter where I am.

I bought a new printer on Thursday. I hadn't had one for the past 8 months, because I didn't bother bringing mine with me, and then when I sold my old computer to my sister, I included my old printer. I thought it would be nice to have a scanner too, since my old one was sort of broken, so I bought a Canon MultiPASS F20. I didn't think I was going to be buying a multifunction centre at first, but the price was really good - $180 for a scanner, printer, and copier all in one. Plus the ink tanks are really affordable - $10 for black and $25 for colour. So yeah, that's my latest toy. It's so much faster than my old printer, and the print quality is way better. Also, it holds both the black and colour ink tanks at the same time. I know that sounds pretty basic, but on my old printer you had to swap the catridges. The colour catridge only had the three standard colours - cyan, magenta, and yellow - so if you printed any black with that cartridge it was a big waste of ink, since black was made by laying on all three colours very thickly.

Okay, more again soon...
