So, I know that 16 months is a ridiculously long hiatus from blogging. Even before that, it seemed that every post began with some apology about how long it had been since the last post. I've been planning to get set up on Blogger for quite a long time. Transferring the posts and setting the correct date on all of them was a bit of a chore, but honestly I was finished with that ages ago. Being the perfectionist and procrastinator that I am, I was hoping to have everything set up perfectly and I never got around to it. You might notice that all the entries are labeled as "Not Reviewed." That means that I'm planning to go through each of them, reminiscing along the way, fixing up broken links and restoring missing images.
Ideally I'd like to get photos and applications and stuff back online eventually, but getting my blog entries into Blogger is the most important part. I used to manually edit HTML and then upload it to an FTP server, so I wasn't inclined to blog very often. This resulted in long streches between posts and long, boring posts that rambled on about everything that happened in the preceding month or three.
Blogging isn't the only thing that I haven't been doing online I haven't been chatting much in the last year or writing e-mail, and I feel a bit like I've neglected some of my online and long-distance friends. I sit in front of a computer all day, so in some ways, being online less appeals to me. But in reality, when I'm online less, it's not like I'm any more social in real life. So lately I've been IM a bit more. If you see me, say hello! I've also just joined Facebook. I'm not sure how "into it" I'm going to get, but it's amusing for the time-being at least.
